Can neighbours share conversations across balconies?
Urban Mountains seeks to envision a vertical village whereby interactions between the residents and its community could be established in 4 main areas - the unit, its adjacent void spaces, the public circulation spaces and sky garden as well as the courtyards. Being situated in Central Punggol with close proximity to various programmes, such as public transportation, commercial and recreational amenities, an agent-based stigmergic masterplanning approach is adopted in integrating them together, hence improving walkability across the site. Within the residential estate, balconies and void spaces are choreographed to enable vertical visual connection and interactions while bridges and sky garden links the 4 high rise into an interconnected community above ground. Hence, can neighbours share conversations across balconies? In Urban Mountains, they certainly can.
