Crossings addresses three main elements of Punggol: the existing green network, the ease of accessibility to public transport, andthe relative youth of the neighbourhood. Situated right next to Punggol MRT and bus interchange, the site is the shortest path to further destinations. Rather than building residences that restrict site accessibility to other users, Crossings retains and improves the surrounding circulation by extending the green network, creating a more favorable route as well as extending it in the vertical dimension.

Crossings also offers variation to typical housing plans, allowing for more outdoor spaces, both private and public. Micro-communities are created around shared gardens that provide close proximity to public amenities. Staircases link all public spaces within each tower, with bridges between towers for convenience that creates a continuous circulation
